L7 Cologne is an art project named after the city and the street in which it was founded in 2015. Since then energy, spirit, love and a lot of strength have flowed into it. The result is paintings, music, thoughts and also some art books. Our creed:

art becomes "ART"!

The German word for art is "KUNST".

The original meaning, as opposed to nature, refers to all products of human activity. This suggests art came from skill.

We understand art as a way of life, as "LEBENSFORM" as "ART UND WEISE ZU LEBEN" in the sense of Wittgenstein's suggestion.

The german word for art should simply be "ART" too!

Art as "ART" is a way of life, and thus "bio - logically" much closer to the concept of nature.

We are in dialogue with nature - we are ARTISTS.
